Yoka vs Bakole Controversies, Domination of Bakole, and Post-match Reactions

Martin Bakole defeated Tony Yoka in enemy territory today in Paris, despite the judges’ best efforts to make the fight appear much more competitive than it actually was. Bakole was declared the winner by a majority decision of 94-94, 95-93, and 96-92. Many analysts, on the other hand, assigned Yoka only the seventh round, and couldn’t see more than three rounds for Yoka in the cards. Smail Alitouche, Bertrand Chagnoux, and Ammar Sakraoui, all from France, served as judges.

Yoka didn’t seem startled by the result, and neither did the fans in Paris, who seemed to believe Bakole had won. Bakole, who is 28 years old, will now prepare for something bigger. He did lose to Michael Hunter in 2018, but he’s certainly a better fighter now than he was back then, when he also had a shoulder issue. Since then, he’s won six straight, with the win against Yoka being the most famous of the bunch.
