The first ISSF World Cup of the Olympic year is scheduled to start in Cairo, Egypt on January 26. The Indian shooting contingent will be prepared to fire their first shots.

With the Paris Olympics serving as the premier competition for those involved, 2024 will be a historic year for Indian athletes. 49 shooters from India are travelling in large numbers to the event. The pistol, rifle, and shotgun competitions at the Cairo World Cup will come to an end on February 1.
In shooting sports, a nation, not an individual, wins the Olympic quota. Nonetheless, India will send a team to the ISSF World Cup (Rifle/Pistol), which will take place in Granada, Spain, from February 10–18. However, there are just two events planned there: the 10m air pistol and 10m air rifle for seniors and juniors.
India (25), with eight gold, five silver, and twelve bronze medals, placed fourth overall in the ISSF World Cup 2023 medal count.
