2021 Islamic Solidarity Games Results, Turkey’s record-breaking Performance, Schedule, Date, Time, And Medal Count
At the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, which are now taking place in Konya in central Anatolia, host Turkey has surpassed its previous record for most medals won. On Monday, Day 6 of the competition, Turkish athletes dominated yet again and propelled their country towards achieving a count of 100 gold medals. Turkey maintained their lead in the medal count at the end of the day with 229 medals, including 89 gold, 80 silver, and 60 bronze. In the process,
Turkey broke its previous record, which it had achieved during the Fourth Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, in 2017. Turkish competitors not only surpassed the total number of medals, but they also broke the previous record for gold medals with 89, eighteen more than the previous mark of 71. The host nation might increase their medal total before the games end on August 18.
On 16th August, the gold medal match for Football at 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games will be played between hosts Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan will take on Algeria in the bronze medal match.
2021 Islamic Solidarity Games Sports List & Scheduled Venue
In March 2022, the final schedule—which had 22 disciplines from 19 sports, including 4 parasports—was made public. Six sports were dropped from the competition: water polo, diving, field hockey, tennis, wushu, and zurkhaneh. Administrators made the decision to add kickboxing, fencing, boccia, and archery to the tournament programme at the expense of these competitions.

According to the most recent reports, Turkey, which is hosting the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games, has won 229 medals overall, including 89 gold medals. With 110 total medals, including 37 gold, 34 silver, and 39 bronze, Iran is in third place. After a strong performance on Monday, Uzbekistan have overtook Iran and currently sit second with a total of 112 medals including 40 gold medals.
