It’s been a busy summer for The Tuskers ever since the transfer window opened up ahead of the approaching ISL season which starts November onwards. The club let go of three players namely Rohit Kumar, Bartholomew Ogbeche and Lalruatthara and added the likes of Sanjeev Stalin, Anil Gaonkar and Harmanjot Khabra to their squad. KBFC lets go of 3 players

The Yellow Army released midfielder Rohit Kumar from their squad, who is now set to join Bengaluru FC on a 2-year deal. That means the 24-year old will stay with The Blues until the end of the 2022-23 ISL season. It’s going to be fun to watch Kumar play under the leadership of India skipper Sunil Chhetri who will seek redemption after a disappointing 2020-21 season.

KBFC also let go of Nigerian World Cupper Bartholomew Ogbeche and 26-year old Lalruatthara from their squad. Ogbeche will be moving to Hyderabad FC on a one-year deal whereas Lalruatthara is set to join Odisha FC on a 2-year deal with an option to extend for another year.

New Signings

Not just for departures, The Tuskers have also hit the news this summer for a couple of new arrivals.

The Kochi-based outfit signed Anil Gaonkar from Vasco SC. Having played with Vasco SC for 4 years, Gaonkar has represented Goa at the U-20 level and put his talent on full display in the Goa Premier League for Vasco.

KBFC also signed 20-year old left-back Sanjeev Stalin on a 2-year deal which will see him play for the Yellow Army till 2023.

Another exciting addition to The Yellow Army’s squad is that of defender Harmanjot Khabra. Like Stalin, the 33-year old has also signed a 2-year contract with KBFC.
