After turning many heads, Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav will fly to the UK early today to accompany Team India for their England vs India test series 2021

In the meantime, as per Cricbuzz, a selection committee headed by Chetan Sharma-narrowed down the options to Prithvi Shaw along with Suryakumar Yadav who isn’t confirmed yet following a meeting with Indian Team head coach Ravi Shastri. 

The three players will not be available for the Sri Lanka T20I series, as the duo will be immediately flying today for England. Prithvi Shaw and Yadav have been asked to join the team in England. 


Insider Remark On Players Inclusion To Fly England

 All the three players are in Sri Lanka currently and it will require considerable effort for them all to link up with the rest of their teammates. “The players might well be compelled to endure a 10-day isolation in England,” said an insider source of the BCCI.

Suryakumar Yadav and Jayant Yadav’s names are being discussed, although a final decision is yet to be made. Suryakumar Yadav’s phone rang late owing to Ajinkya Rahane’s hamstring strain.


Yadav, according to the New Indian Express, has been considered as a replacement for the tour. While Abhimanyu Easwaran prior has joined his squadron in Durham. The left-hander is yet to play an international game while as expected the T20I series to provide the breakthrough for Yadav. 

Sri Lanka vs India Series

Shaw and Surya both performed admirably in the three ODI series against Sri Lanka, which culminated on July 23. Shaw was named as the Player of the Match after scoring 43 off 24 balls in the very first ODI. 


While Surya accumulated runs regularly in all three ODIs to earn Player of the Series. In three matches. He managed to score 124 runs at an average of 62 and a strike rate of 122.77.
