French midfielder Hugo Bousmous has completed his move to the Kolkata outfit and the Mariners’ fans can definitely hope to win the title this season after losing it to The Blues in the final of the 2020-2021 season. The Frenchman has signed a 5-year deal which will make him stay with the Mariners till 2026.

We cannot argue about the fact that this is a very crucial signing as Hugo is undoubtedly one of the best players in the league, having provided a total of 24 assists in 56 matches, the highest in the history of the ISL. Let’s take a look at all the ins and outs made by ATK Mohun Bagan!

The Mariners have already signed goalkeeper Amrinder Singh from Mumbai FC who has won the ISL League Shield and the ISL title with the Blues. Not only that, the Green and Maroons have signed Liston Colaco and Joni Kauko ,who had played for Finland this year in the prestigious Euro Cup 2020. By signing Liston Colaco from Hyderabad FC, ATK Mohun Bagan have made him the most expensive player in the ISL. The Kolkata giants released 3 players from their squad, namely Salam Singh (free transfer to Chennaiyan FC), Aryan Niraj Lamba (Undisclosed fee to Kerala United) and Edu Garcia.

The future of Roy Krishna is still uncertain but if he decides to stay with ATK, the squad will become exceedingly strong. The likes of Pritam Kotal, Sandesh Jhingan, Subhasish Bose, Asutosh Mehta and now Amrinder Singh will form a great defence which will be hard to penetrate.
