The now-viral video shows a 188-year-old man rescued from a cave near Bengaluru. The video has sent shockwaves across nation. So far, the viral-video has amassed more than 25 million views.

Initially the video was shared by a social media user who goes by the name “Concerned Citizen,” on X/Twitter. The tweet sharing platform user captioned the post as “This Indian man has just been found in a cave. It’s alleged he’s 188 years old. Insane,” leaving netizens stunned.

However, let us remind you, at the time of writing this article, the video is yet to be verified and it’s authenticity is still questionable.

Is the Viral Video a Hoax?

In addition, X/Twitter also added a disclaimer below the viral post, stating that “the age of the person may not be 188 years as claimed.” In addition, the disclaimer also cites an article while revealing that the elderly man in the now-viral video is a Hindu saint named Siyaram Baba.

As per the disclaimer article, Siyaram Baba, is a Hindu saint residing in the Khargone district, Madhya Pradesh. He is well-known in the region, with stories of his ascetic practices.

Previously, he grabbed headlines for standing on one leg for ten years. Reportedly, at the age of 110, he still reads books like Ramayana without glasses and does his own daily tasks independently.

However, there are numerous claims regarding Siyaram Baba’s age, with some suggesting that he may be as old as 130. Though Siyaram Baba has never confirmed his actual age.
