In actuality, a parody account of Indian cricket player Mohammed Siraj wrote and shared the tweet instead of the real player. In context, when Pakistani cricket player Mohammad Rizwan dedicated his team’s victory in their World Cup 2023 match against Sri Lanka to the people of Gaza, who have been subjected to ceaseless Israeli bombardment for the past few days, he became the target of criticism, for those who are unaware. He wrote:
