Viral TikTok video of Heinz selling Clear Tomato Ketchup
X user @messedupfoods was the first person to share the now-viral TikTok video on X. @messedupfoods reportedly found it on Instagram from user supparay14k’s account. The viral clip shows an unidentified man picking up the supposed Heinz Clear Tomato Ketchup from a grocery store’s aisle. The video shows the bottle with a picture of a grey tomato instead of its signature red one. Meanwhile, the man in the video then squeezes the bottle, show viewers the clear consistency of the supposed clear ketchup. He does this while saying:
A lot of y’all just don’t have the balls to eat no clear tomato ketchup. We just gonna leave it right there. Ain’t no need to argue. You want some or not mother**ker?”
While the tweet has amassed over 670.5K views, the video has amassed over 25 million views across social media platforms.
The truth behind Heinz Clear Tomato Ketchup
While the video of the clear tomato ketchup has gone viral, the product is, in fact, not real. There are currently no references to a clear ketchup on Heinz’s official website or social media accounts. Moreover, the company has not made any announcements to release such a product. Moreover, the clip itself does not show any Heinz Clear Tomato Ketchup lines in the ketchup section. The person behind the video probably created the product to go viral on social media.
Netizens react to the Clear Tomato Ketchup
Ever since the video went viral, netizens have been posting funny reactions across social media. One X user tweeted:
Looks like yummy hand sanitizer”
While several netizens have compared it to sanitizer, others have expressed their disgust over the product. Interestingly, while Heinz does not sell clear ketchup, they recently released a list of bizarre Halloween candy creations. The company sold gummy candy versions of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, Oscar Mayer hot dogs, and Claussen pickles for Halloween.
