Ashley ShahAhmadi is an Iranian American who was born in Kennesaw, Georgia on June 23, 1992.She attended the University of Georgia and studied broadcast journalism and digital media.
She engaged in a variety of activities while attending university. She was employed by ESPNU Campus Connection as the team’s women’s football coach. She helped with the wiring and cameras for the live performance there, as well as with setting up the broadcast event by modifying the players’ profile packages.

Ashley ShahAhmadi did her internship at WRDW-TV from June to August of 2013. She got the opportunity to observe the multimedia journalist during her training and was able to record, edit, conduct interviews, and create her packages.
She began her training at KB Voiceover shortly after her internship at WRDW-TV ended, and for ten months she was directly involved with the audio editing and finance departments of the company.
In August 2014, she started working as a reporter and weekend sports anchor at Meridian, Mississippi’s WTOK-TV, where she got her start in broadcast journalism. She then worked as an evening and nighttime sports anchor for two years at WTOK-TV. She also covered collegiate teams at Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, and high school athletics.
She then started working for WAPT-TV in Jackson, Mississippi, in August of 2016. She was a weekend sports anchor and reporter there for over two years. During that time, she provided live coverage of high school and college athletic events.
She covered state championship games for the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) as a sideline reporter as well. She also produced and hosted Blitz’s football show as well as the weekly high school basketball show Full Court Blitz.
