The Indian all-rounder has an inseparable part with the franchise for quite a while and is one of the crucial squad players. The 32-year-old carried out an all-round performance in IPL 2021. In 6 innings, he scored 131 runs, with a 160 plus strike rate.

In seven matches he acquired an economy rate of 6.70, the Left-Arm Spinner credited six wickets for the team. Since its inception in 2008, MS Dhoni has always been a member of the Chennai Super Kings and captained the franchise in every season.  MS Dhoni will never be released under the hammer as a form of gratitude and sustained effort from the franchise. 

MS Dhoni didn’t have an excellent display in IPL 2021, with only 37 runs in four innings, his intuitive leadership qualities enabled the squad to win important matches. With five wins in seven games, CSK occupied 2nd place in the points table. CSK poster boy is MS Dhoni, by all means, the franchise will retain him with surety for IPL 2022 auction.
