The IPL 2024 will begin with the opening match between defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on March 22.

The IPL Fan Parks have become an annual event and a mainstay of the competition bringing together all forms of entertainment and social extravaganza besides the match screening.
No tickets are needed to enter the fan parks with seating available on a first come first serve basis.
IPL 2024 Fan Parks
Much to the delight of fans across India, the BCCI officially declared on Wednesday, March 20, that it would host ‘Fan Parks’ across 50 Indian cities. While announcing the news, the BCCI stated in its official media release:
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) always strives to bring the game closer to the fans across the globe and the country, and keeping that in mind, it brought the Fan Park concept into play in 2015.”
This year, the BCCI will host 15 Fan Parks during the first phase of the competition, which runs until April 7, 2024. The first Fan Park will take place on March 22, 2024, in Madura. It will take place on the same day as the match between CSK and RCB. Fans from the following 11 Indian states will get to experience fan parks across the two weeks:

- West Bengal
- Maharashtra
- Tamil Nadu
- Uttarakhand
- Gujarat
- Karnataka
- Jharkhand
- Punjab
- Telangana
