The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is all set to begin very soon but ahead of that, some players will sadly miss the tournament due to injuries, check out the full list of injured players and replacements for RCB, MI, DC, CSK and others
The IPL 2023 season is the 16th edition, and will begin from March 31 onwards, featuring ten franchise teams.

Injured/doubtful players for teams in IPL 2023:
RCB – Will Jacks, Rajat Patidar and Josh Hazlewood.
MI – Bumrah and Jhye Richardson.
CSK – Jamieson and Mukesh Chaudhary.
KKR – Shreyas Iyer.

Ahead of the start of the tournament, all the teams took part in the IPL Auction 2023 to assemble their squads on December 23 in Kochi.
IPL 2023 format
The IPL 2023 will feature ten teams who will each play 14-league stage matches. This season, each team will play the home advantage match as the IPL 2023 take place across 12 venues.
IPL 2023 teams hit with injuries
While some of the teams like Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Rajasthan Royals, some other teams like the Mumbai Indians are already hit with several injuries ahead of the new season.
MI suffered a double blow with two of their pacers India’s Jasprit Bumrah and Australia’s Jhye Richardson out with injuries. Both pacers underwent surgery and they will be out of action for some time.
Delhi Capitals also suffered a blow after their skipper and India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant suffered injuries in a car accident. Meanwhile, New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson, who joined CSK this season has been ruled out due to injury.
Rajasthan Royals pacer Prasidh Krishna will also miss the tournament after undergoing surgery. England international Will Jacks, who recently joined Royal Challengers Bangalore is also ruled out of IPL 2023.
Another Englishman Jonny Bairstow, , who has been out since last September, will miss out the upcoming IPL season for the Punjab Kings. The wicketkeeper-batter is still struggling to recover from a triple leg break.
Other players on the list are Shreyas Iyer (Kolkata Knight Riders), Reece Topley (RCB), Josh Hazlewood (RCB), Lockie Ferguson (KKR), Mohsin Khan (LSG) and Mukesh Choudhary (CSK). These players are however still in doubt and not completely ruled out.
Aside from the injured players, some Indian and Australian players decided to opt out of the IPL 2023 season due to the World Test Championship final 2023. The competition is set to take place just a few days after the IPL 2023 final.
