Shubman Gill’s 129 off 60 balls, his third hundred-plus performance of the year, helped Gujarat Titans overcome Mumbai Indians by a dominant scoreline of 233/3 on Friday in Qualifier 2 of the IPL.
Gill played decently in the first, but in the second half, he became vicious and slammed an incredible knock that totalled 10 sixes and seven fours. In the process, B Sai Sudharsan and Gill amassed 138 runs for the second wicket. B Sai Sudharsan, who was prepared to play second fiddle, struck 43 in 31 balls before being run out.
