2023 Indian Premier League final Chennai Super Kings vs Gujarat Titans winner, result, score, & best performers
Chennai Super Kings won the toss in the 2023 Indian Premier League final, which was postponed due to rain and decided to field. Thanks to their explosive start and 96-run knock from Sai Sudharsan, Gujarat Titans scored 214-runs at the expense of four wickets. For Gujarat, Indian wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha added 54-runs. Meanwhile, Sri Lankan bowler Matheesha Pathirana grabbed two wickets for the Super Kings.
Due to heavy rain after the first innings, Chennai’s batting was delayed and later they were tasked with a target of 171-runs in 15 overs. Although it seemed Chennai will easily clinch the win after making 72 in the first six overs, efficient bowling from Noor Ahmad and Mohit Sharma changed the game in Gujarat’s favor. In the last over, Chennai needed fifteen runs to win but, Mohit allowed them to score only 5-runs from the opening four deliveries. However, Jadeja blasted one four and one six to score 10-runs from the last two balls and guide Chennai Super Kings to their fifth IPL title
Final Result: Chennai Super Kings won by five wickets against Gujarat Titans
