Explained Instagram Repeating Stories 2022 Error, How To Fix And Update App
Many users have recently reported having problems with the photo-sharing app. Specifically, their Instagram stories are repeating, forcing them to watch select tales again and over.
If you thought it was just your phone acting up, you’re wrong: you’re not the only one.
Representatives From Instagram Comment On The Repeating Stories Glitch
Instagram has yet to issue an official statement on the incident, but a spokesperson for its parent company, Meta, has made an announcement. Christine Pai highlighted the matter with iNews, stating the business was “aware that some customers are having difficulties accessing Instagram Stories.”
She went on to state that Meta was “working hard to restore everything back to normal as soon as possible.”
Fortunately, it appears they have finally provided a remedy.
A New Update For Instagram Is Now Available.
Following Pai’s remark, Instagram made a fresh update today (June 15). The Version 239.1 update “contains bug fixes and performance enhancements.”
Clearly, the change is simple and will not affect the app’s core functionality. If the update is successful, it will merely guarantee that your app is working as effectively as possible, which means that if everything goes well, you will no longer have to struggle with the recurring tales bug.
Updating Your Instagram App
Don’t worry if upgrading an app seems a little too technical for you. We’ve got your back.
- If you have an iPhone, all you have to do is go to the App Store.
- On the upper right-hand side of the screen, you’ll see your profile photo.
- Simply click on the image and scroll down to the page that says ‘Upcoming Updates.’
- If you haven’t already updated the latest Instagram update, simply do so using this page, and your app should be back to normal.
- There is a similar solution if you are using an Android device.
- Return to the Google Play Store and tap the profile image on the top right of the screen once more.
- Then choose ‘Manage apps and device.’
- Apps that have an update available, such as Instagram, will be labelled ‘Update available’.
- Simply hit the update button, and you should be all set!
We’re hoping we won’t have to watch Instagram stories more than once.
