Meanwhile, HS Prannoy shocked Kodai Naraoka by defeating him 21-18, 21-16 to advance towards the semi-final stage where he will face top-seed Viktor Axelsen.

According to Friday’s results, Chirag & Satwiksairaj will compete for a position in the championship round against the unseeded Korean duo of Kang Min-hyuk & Seo Seung-jae. Meanwhile, Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth was eliminated from the competition after losing to Chinese shuttler Li Shi Feng 14-21, 21-14, 12-21. In another men’s singles quarterfinal, Indonesian ace Anthony Sinisuka Ginting emerged victorious against compatriot Jonatan Christie.
