2023 Indonesia Open day 2 schedule, date, venue, fixtures, & second-round draw
With her superb play against local favorite Gregoria Mariska Tunjung in the first-round of 2023 Indonesia Open, Indian star PV Sindhu won by the score of 21-19, 21-15 within 38 minutes. Following this result, it is confirmed that Sindhu will play against Taiwanese ace Tai Tzu-ying on Thursday with a spot in the quarterfinal at stake.
Notably, Japanese duo Rin Iwanaga & Kie Nakanishi emerged victorious against Indian pair Treesa Jolly & Gayatri Gopichand to qualify for the second-round of 2023 Indonesia Open. Following the intense game that lasted an hour and 12 minutes, the Indians blew the advantage they had in the first game and lost by the scores of 22-20, 12-21, 16-21. Meanwhile, HS Prannoy successfully advanced towards the men’s singles second-round after defeating Japanese player Kenta Nishimoto 21-16, 21-14.

Each singles champion of the Indonesia Open will get $87,500 from the $1,200,000 total prize fund as it is a BWF Super 1000 competition. Only $17,500 will be awarded to the losers of the semifinal singles matches, however each runner-up is expected to win $42,500. Indian team Arjun & Kapila will take home $1250 in prize money after suffering a devastating loss to eighth-seed Ong & Teo.
