Indian 2 is an upcoming Tamil action and thriller movie produced by Subaskaran Allirajah. The movie is the sequel to the superhit film Indian which was released in 1996. The production of Indian 2 began in 2019 and was moving along quickly. But on the sets of Indian 2, a terrible incident put a complete stop to filming. In February 2020, a crane that was carrying large lighting equipment broke and crashed on the employees, killing three people and wounding ten more. The survival of the movie was in doubt due to the ensuing lockdown caused by the Covid-outbreak.
Kamal Haasan, an actor-filmmaker, had a special greeting to the director Shankar on his 59th bday. The celebrity turned to Twitter to wish Shankar and to let his fans know that the duo’s long-delayed project, Indian 2, is still going on.
