Indian Cricketer Tests Positive For COVID
Reports had previously claimed that two Indian cricketers had tested positive for COVID. This Wednesday, Rishabh Pant was reported to be one of them. He was spotted attending the Euro 2020 game at the Wembley Stadium in England. This was during the 20-day break BCCI had granted the Indian Cricket Team after their WTC defeat. Initially, the management had stayed mum with the cricketerโs name.
But then, a PTI report had quoted a BCCI official saying that Pant was the player in question. According to a BCCI source, Pant is quarantining at an acquaintanceโs place. Hence, he wonโt be travelling with the team to Durham on Thursday. The report even stated that the Delta variant may have afflicted him, leading to a rising number of cases in England.
