The Indian women’s football team is scheduled to play two friendlies against Jordan commencing on Sunday as part of their training ahead of next month’s AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifiers for Paris 2024.

The games will be played at the Petra Stadium in Amman.
Before travelling to Uzbekistan the following week for extra practice matches, the 61st-ranked Indian women will play Jordan on Sunday and Wednesday.
Jordan has recently experienced challenges. They have had one win and four losses in their previous five international games. India defeated Jordan 1-0 in April of last year.
The situation in Uzbekistan is likewise poor. They have dropped their last five international contests while scoring an astounding 30 goals. Yet, India’s most recent match was a loss to Uzbekistan in April 2021.
India’s head coach, Thomas Dennerby, has chosen a 23-person roster for the exhibition matches.
India will participate in the AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifiers Round 1 from April 4 to April 10. They are placed in Group G together with the hosts, the Kyrgyz Republic, and Turkmenistan.
The names of the Jordanian and Uzbek squads from their friends will be provided to the team for the football Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
