Manchester City’s top midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has been awarded the IFFHS Men’s World Best Playmaker 2021. The 30-year-old Belgian won the award with 160 points to his name. De Bruyne was the winner of the same award in 2020 as well as he broke the magical streak of Lionel Messi who won in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019. Kevin De Bruyne was announced as the winner on November 28, 2021.

Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer has won the award in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2020, while former Real Madrid’s goalkeeper Iker Casillas won the award in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011.

Former Juventus’ keeper Gianluigi Buffon won it in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2017. Gianluigi Donnarumma was announced as the winner on November 28, 2021.
