South Africa has been a dominant force this cycle, topping the standings with a stellar 66.67% win percentage across 11 Tests. Their recent victory against Pakistan in Centurion, powered by a gritty batting display, further solidified their position in the final. Meanwhile, Australia bolstered their chances with a dramatic 184-run victory over India during the Boxing Day Test at Melbourne.

India’s path to the World Test Championship Final hinges on winning the final Test of the series against Australia in Sydney to level the Border-Gavaskar series. Following this, their qualification would depend on Australia failing to secure a victory in their upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka, which begins next month. At the moment, it is most likely that Australia will play South Africa in the final come 2025.
