The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently released the official anthem for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, titled ‘Out of this World’, find out more details below about the song and its lyrics

Heading into the competition, this year’s co-hosts USA will play the first match of the tournament against Canada.

The tournament will take place from June 1–29, featuring 20 international teams playing in 55 matches across the USA and West Indies.

ICC releases official T20 World Cup 2024 anthem

The ICC recently released the official anthem for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 on Thursday, May 2, 2024. The ICC released the newly-released anthem, titled “Out of this World”, just 30 days before the start of the tournament. While speaking at the official song release, Sean Paul stated that the song aims to embody the unity and celebration that cricket brings. Sean Paul further added:

I have always believed that music, like cricket, has the power to bring people together in unity and celebration. This song is all about positive energy and Caribbean pride and I can’t wait for the cricket carnival to get started and hear everyone singing along to the anthem, bringing the party to stadiums across the West Indies and USA.

T20 World Cup 2024 anthem singers

Notably, the new anthem features a collaboration between Grammy award-winner Sean Paul and Soca superstar Kes. The song, produced by Michael “Tano” Montano, was launched with a music video. The video features various cricket stars like Chris Gayle, Ali Khan, and Shiv Chanderpaul, alongside sports legends like eight-time Olympic gold-medallist and tournament ambassador Usain Bolt.
