Ten teams will fight for the coveted crown at the showcase event. The results of the Zimbabwean qualification competition, which ends on July 9, will determine the final two spots. The Cricket World Cup Super League has already allowed the first eight to advance.
Each team will play the other nine in a round-robin format during the championship event, which is scheduled for October or November this year. The top four teams advance to the knockout stage, which consists of the semifinals, where the winner of the last four matches will face each other.
The World Cup kicks off in Ahmedabad with a rematch of the 2019 Final between England and New Zealand, and the hosts India begin their tournament on October 8 in Chennai against five-time World Cup champions Australia.
With the exception of Hyderabad, each venue will host five games; the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium will host just three. Each of Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Lucknow, Dharamsala, Chennai, and Delhi will host five matches.
What time does the ICC ODI World Cup 2023’s day matches and day-night matches begin?
Only six of the 48 games, including the two semifinals and the championship match, will start during the day (10:30 AM), with the remaining 42 games will be day-night (2 PM).

ICC is yet to release information about the tickets, but one thing is sure the physical sale of tickets would be limited as BCCI does not want a stampede-like situation.
