The two-day competition will feature 390 participants from 32 State units and sports boards. As more athletes’ results become available at the time this report is issued, Manipur’s medal total should increase.
IBBF Mr India Bodybuilding 2024 winner list and results out
At the 15th Mr. India 2024-Senior Men and Women’s Bodybuilding National Championship, held in Ludhiana, Punjab, Engudam Kavita took home a gold medal.
In the women’s 55+ kg category competition, Kavita, an athlete from Friends Fitness Gym in Tera, took home the gold medal. On the second day of the 15th Mr India 2024 competition, Maradona Kshetrimayum also won gold medal alongside Kavita. In the men’s 60 kg category competition, Neta Laishram had to settle for a silver medal, while Thokchom Sanjeeta won the bronze in the women’s 55 kg category event.
Jayaprakash won in the 80kg category of the IBBF Nationals Mr India 2024.
Ram Niwas Malik won Mr India 2024 gold medal against Anuj Taliyan. Malik is a bodybuilder from the nearby city of Panipat, in the villages of Nangal Kheri or Gadi (Siva Gadi). He is a multiple bodybuilding champion. He won gold in the 85 kg category at the Under University in India and is Mr. North India – 2009.
Ram Niwas has been competing in this sport for more than 14 years, winning every title in the state of Haryana as well as other national championships. However, he had been chasing the Mr. India title for some time.
Silver medalist Laishram Neta Singh won the senior Mr. Imphal West 2022 title at the 18th Imphal West District Bodybuilding Championship, which was organised by Body Builders Association of Imphal West at Langol Ningthou Eerum Shang.
Six competitors competed for the top slot, which was won by Neta Singh from United Gym, Naoremthong, while Pebam Medhajit Singh from AMBBA and L Philip Singh from Star Gym, Kwakeithel finished second and third.
Meanhwile, at the 60th Mr. Manipur 2022 competition, held in Imphal by the All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMBBA), Maradona Kshetrimayum of Muscle Factory Kaching was victorious.
After overcoming his opponent body builders in a competition that concluded at the Bhagyachandra Open Air Theatre in Imphal in 2022, Kshetrimayum, a resident of Kakching Mahakha Leikai in Manipur’s Kakching district, returned home richer with an INR 4.8 lakh Maruti Alto.
