“I don’t think you can be cool if you care,” Sebastian Vettel Questions Max Verstappen And His Attitude Ahead Of The Turkish Grand Prix

Sebastian Vettel believes contrary to the claims made by Max Verstappen, it is improbable to remain cool in a title fight

Relinquishing his top spot to Lewis Hamilton after the Mercedes man won the Russian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen finds himself once again trailing his nemesis ahead of the Turkish Grand Prix.

However, speaking ahead of the impending race, the Red Bull driver talked about how he was not sweating about losing his title to Hamilton. Verstappen talked about how winning the championship wouldn’t change his life for him and how he was maintaining his cool despite the topsy-turvy nature of the ongoing Formula 1 season.

Sebastian Vettel Doesn’t Agree With Comments Made By Max Verstappen

Verstappen’s comments have not resonated by Sebastian Vettel though. Speaking ahead of the race in Istanbul, Vettel talked about how it was never possible to remain so calm and cool about a title fight and that he didn’t quite agree with Verstappen’s claims that he wasn’t worried.

“It’s great for people, it’s exciting when there is a close fight, but yeah, I don’t think you can always be cool, especially if you care. That would be me, but maybe he’s different,” Vettel said as he commented on Verstappen’s remarks.

Verstappen who is in his seventh season with Red Bull has proved to be more than a capable adversary to Hamilton this season. As opposed to Hamilton’s five wins, Verstappen has gone onto claim pole on seven occasions with him persistently breathing down the Brit’s neck across the course of the season.
