An unofficial English translation of Togashi’s interview is currently circulating online. Due to his ongoing health problems, Togashi has been unable to complete the latest chapters of his manga, and he is now worried that he will not live to see its completion.

In light of the potential for such a catastrophe, he hopes to provide his readers with an ending that will satisfy them. Togashi has planned for three definitive conclusions. Which he has labeled as Conclusions A, B, and C. The readers would be satisfied with ending A, while it would be offensive to others. Ending B will, in his perspective, equally divide the fandom.

Togashi prefers Ending C, despite the fact that it will only receive a 10% majority vote. In order to provide his readers with a sense of resolution, Togashi has unveiled a fourth and previously abandoned ending. In it, viewers meet Jin Freecs, Gon’s grandchild, who although being capable, chooses not to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and become a Hunter.

The conclusion shows what happened to Gon after the manga left him and how he started a family. Although Killua and the others aren’t named, Togashi assures us that their offspring will be prominent in this conclusion. Also, Togashi makes it clear that this is just a backup ending. He doesn’t want to leave his readers hanging with an unfinished tale if he passes away.

Health Conditions

Many well-known mangaka have left the profession due to exhaustion from work and other commitments. Because to Togashi’s illness, Hunter x Hunter has been on indefinite hiatuses and breaks. Even though the majority of readers want the manga to end, Togashi’s well-being must always come first.

Many of Togashi’s followers were disappointed to learn from this interview that the author is not only making plans for his own death but also feels pressured to write a satisfying conclusion to his works.
