PV Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist from India, advanced to the knockout stage of the BWF World Tour Finals in Bali, Indonesia, with a straight-game victory over Germany’s Yvonne Li in her second group A match on Thursday.

Sindhu, who was a finalist a year ago and is the lone Indian to win the prestigious title this year, defeated world No. 23 Li 21-10, 21-13 in 31 minutes.

In her last group match, the defending world champion will face top seed Pornpawee Chochuwong of Thailand to determine who will finish first.
