Chennai Super Kings, the reigning champions, defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by six wickets to start the Indian Premier League 2024 season.
How to watch the sign language commentary feed on Star Sports during IPL 2024 matches and how does it work

Meanwhile, to curate and produce commentary for children and adults with special needs, the BCCI, IPL, and ISH News have teamed up for something special.

Who will profit from the 2024 Indian Premier League sign language feed?
Star Sports will show a feed during the game thanks to the assistance of ISH Organisation (India Signing Hands), which will allow to feel the ‘thrill and excitement’ for evryone. In addition to the usual verbal score updates, the broadcast will offer ball-by-ball updates in Indian sign language. Star Sports stated through a press release:

With commentators explaining every play of the game and providing frequent verbal score updates, it is even more exceptional in its capacity to interact with fans who are blind or visually challenged. Sanjog Gupta, Head – Sports, Disney Star, stated:
The ‘language’ of commentary takes a new leap in inclusivity with the introduction of Indian Sign Language on Tata IPL 2024 for fans with impaired hearing and descriptive commentary for fans with sight impairment.”
Star Sports is working with India Signing Hands (ISH News) to curate customised commentary and in consultation with specialists on-boarded by ISH, the feed will provide ball-by-ball updates using the Indian sign language, as well as regular verbal score updates.
It can also engage with visually impaired fans with commentators describing every moment.
