The game was first announced during Bethesda’s E3 presentation back in 2018. The newly developed game takes place in a space-themed setting. Starfield is the Bethesda’s first new intellectual property developed in over 29 years. The game is scheduled to release on September 6, 2023 across both Windows and Xbox Series X/S.

Starfield comes with a pronoun change feature which aims to validate transgender, non-binary, and genderfluid players. The feature provides with an uncomplicated process for players to follow a set of simple instructions and change their pronouns as they wish.
At the start of the game, players get to pick He/Him, She/Her, and They/Them pronouns when customizing their character. Following this initial pick, players can always choose to change them later. Given below are is the guide to make this change happen.
Starfield, step-by-step guide to change in-game character pronouns
Starfield players can follow the steps below to change their character pronouns:
- Firstly, take your in-game character to the Enhance! Clinic, located in the New Atlantis City Commercial District
- Speak to Warner Connell
- Pick the first dialogue option, which will enable you to use his services
- After arriving to the character customization menu, players will get the option to change their face, body type, skin tone, etc
- Click on the “Finish” option to head to the pronouns name change
- Enter a new character name or use the old name
- Click on the “Pronouns” option
- Choose the desired pronoun and press “Confirm”
