Ahead of the event, the Indian Golf Union revealed on Friday that the Hero Indian Open 2024 will take place from March 28–31 at the prestigious DLF Golf & Country Club, Gurgaon.
Rasmus Højgaard to compete at Hero Indian Open 2024
Rasmus is currently ranked 75th in the world and is looking to clinch a fifth career victory on the DP World Tour this month. So far, the youngster has been nothing short of impressive, including three consecutive Top-10 finishes in Ras Al Khaimah, Bahrain, and Qatar.
Aside from the DP World Tour, Rasmus has already secured notable wins at various other tournaments as well. Back in 2019, he won the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open as well as the 2020 ISPS Handa UK Championship. A win at the upcoming Hero Indian Open will put him closer to the DP World Tour 2024 Top-10 rankings. This could potentially help him secure a PGA Tour card.
Aside from Rasmus, Germany’s Yannik Paul is another notable contender in the tournament. Paul narrowly missed out on victory during last year’s Hero Indian Open, and will be looking to secure a win this time. India’s Anirban Lahiri, who is the 2015 Hero Indian Open winner, is also another notable competitor.
