Mallikajaan who is the owner of the Shahi Mahal, a prestigious home for courtesans in Heeramandi, wants her youngest daughter Alamzeb to succeed her as the house’s mistress, or “huzoor.” Alam, on the other hand, aspires to be a poetess while Waheeda, Mallika’s younger sister, has always been a poisonous companion. Now, the daughter of Mallika’s deceased elder sister Rehana has come back to claim what is rightfully hers.

Nawab Ashfaq Baloch’s son Tajdar captures Alam’s heart, and he falls in love with her too. As a catalyst for this love tale, Rehana’s daughter Fareedan views the developing romance as a means of exacting revenge on Mallika.

Waheeda changes sides, while Fareedan teams up with Mallika’s adversary Officer Alastair Cartwright as well. They attempt to remove Mallika by holding her accountable for Rehana’s death, but in the process, she strengthens her position against Fareedan, leading to a ceasefire.

That is, until their marriage is arranged. Once more, tragedy befalls Alam, causing her to become a widow before getting married. Cartwright’s brutality towards Tajdar and Mallikajaan incites the wrath of all the courtesans.
