Max Verstappen saw his race at Silverstone come to an end after a crash with Lewis Hamilton at the British Grand Prix

Despite Max Verstappen taking pole ahead of the British Grand Prix and Lewis Hamilton claiming he had no answer to the Red Bull car, everyone knew the race was far from finished.

With the latest instalment of Formula 1 being held in Silverstone, this race war by far from a bygone conclusion. Hamilton had ruled supreme at his home for manifold years, an advantage which was bound to play in his favour come Sunday.

However, rather than drawing inspiration from the support cheering him on and trying his best to emerge victorious on the night, the Brit decided to indulge in malicious ways to win the race. As he and Max Verstappen went at loggerheads, the two ended up engaging in a high speed crash, one which ruled the Red Bull driver out of the race.

Hamilton who was trying to overtake Verstappen was exquisitely outmanoeuvred by the Red Bull driver on the turn. As the two travelled at 180 mph, Hamilton ended up clipping Verstappen to send him swirling into the high tyre wall at the barriers.
