Jurgen Klopp revealed ensuing the tie that Elliot has dislocated his left ankle which had been popped back into place however the player is likely to require a surgery to fully correct the injury.
Elliott joined Liverpool from Fulham. He made his debut for Fulham at the age of 16. Last season, he played in Championship for Blackburn Rovers where he scored 7 goals and registered 11 assists. The injury was horrifying and it was to see a youngster go on a stretcher. Moreover, Liverpool fans showed their support and sang ‘You will never walk alone’ as Elliott left the field on a stretcher.

The injury will keep Elliott out of the game for at least six months. Previously, players like Luke Shaw met similar kinds of injury where it took them almost a year to recover.
