The 19-year-old Hannibal Mejbri was born on 19th January 2003. Mejbri joined Paris FC in 2009 after growing up in Ivry-sur-Seine, a suburb of Paris. He is the son of Lotfi Mejbri, a former Tunisian footballer, and an unknown mother. Hannibal Mejbri was scouted by numerous English clubs in 2016, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal, and spent time on trial with the latter. He also studied at the famed INF Clairefontaine academy for a period of time.

Hannibal earns £13,000 per week, £676,000 per year playing for Manchester United F.C. as a AM LC and his net worth is £952,640. Born in Tunisia, his current contract expires June 30, 2024.

Despite interest from English clubs, Mejbri only stayed with Athletic Club de Boulogne-Billancourt for a short time before joining AS Monaco for €1 million in 2018. Despite being originally interested in Monaco’s youth development, Mejbri became disillusione with the club within a year of signing, with his parents accusing the Ligue 1 club of breaching contract commitments.

Manchester United stated on their website on August 11, 2019, that they had reached a deal with Monaco to sign Mejbri, despite the teenager apparently rejecting offers from other English clubs. The cost paid by Manchester United is thought to be around €5 million, with add-ons potentially reaching €10 million.

Despite still being 17, Mejbri easily adjusted into Manchester United’s youth squads, graduating to the under-23 group. On September 9, 2020, Mejbri made his Manchester United U21 debut against Salford City in the 2020–21 EFL Trophy. In March 2021, he signed a new contract with United. He received Denzil Haroun Reserve Player of the Year on May 20, 2021.

On May 23, 2021, Mejbri made his senior United debut in a 2–1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League season’s last game; he came on to replace Juan Mata in the 82nd minute.

Mejbri played 12 times for France at the under-16 level and three times at the under-17 level. Mejbri got selection for the Tunisia national team in 2021, since he was eligible to represent Tunisia through his parents. On June 5, 2021, Mejbri made his debut in a 1–0 friendly win over DR Congo.

Hannibal debuted at the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup, starting all five of Tunisia’s games on their way to the final. In the group stage and semi-finals, Hannibal had two man-of-the-match performances against the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, respectively.
