Gumraah movie plot
Gumraah is an adaptation of Maghizh Thirumeni’s directorial blockbuster film of 2019, Thandam which starred actors Arun Vijay and Vidya Pradeep in its lead roles with Tanya Hope and Smruthi Venkat in supporting roles. It was released theatrically on the 1st of March 2019 and opened with positive reviews.

It is a commercially successful film and became the highest-grossing movie of the year in Tamil Nadu. The movie has also been remade in Telugu as Red with Ram Pothineni in its lead role.
Gumraah cast and crew
Gumraah has been bankrolled by Bollywood’s famous filmmaker Bhushan Kumar under the banner of production company T-Series in association with Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios. This movie was directed by Vardhan Ketkar who has also worked as an assistant director in Salman Khan’s Dabangg.
Based on a true event, the film Gumraah will feature actor Aditya Roy Kapur in the male lead role. The actor will be seen in double roles for the first time in a completely different avatar with actress Mrunal Thakur as the female lead being a cop.
The crime thriller will be showcasing an intense face-off between the two leads. Actor Ronit Roy along with Vardhan Ketkar will also be seen in the movie playing supporting roles. The film will be released in the Hindi language for the audiences and no information related to the OTT release is out yet.
Gumraah release date and teaser
The movie makers have made an official announcement regarding the release date, Varun Dhawan-Nitesh Tiwari’s combo Bawaal has been shifted from its date, and the film Gumraah will hit theatres on the 7th of April 2023.
The Gumraah teaser date was released on the 1st of March 2023.
