Piers Morgan questioned how Naomi Osaka looked extremely hunk dory during the Met Gala 2021 as opposed to her sulky self on the tennis court
Across the course of this year, Piers Morgan has engaged in a string of tirades towards Naomi Osaka. The Japanese tennis player’s consistent withdrawals from tournaments and refusal to talk to the media hasn’t gone down well with the British television presenter.

And he’s not shied from making his feelings, albeit controversial ones public with him hitting out at Osaka all across the course of the year. He was yet again irked by Osaka’s presence at the Met Gala with Morgan going onto claim that unlike her usual sob story, Osaka looked way to pleased to be present at the event.
“Speaking of frauds, tennis star Naomi Osaka has spent most of the year whining, crying, throwing racket-breaking tantrums on the court, and blaming the media for her poor form and mental health issues.
“Yet last night she rocked up, as sulky faced as ever, to parade in front of the world’s media in an outrageous Louis Vuitton outfit that screamed GIVE ME ATTENTION!” Morgan said.
Osaka who had marked her return to media duties with the Western and Southern Open failed to impress at the US Open. The player made a teary eyed exit from the showpiece tournament with her talking about how she might be taking an extended break away from the game to address her mental health.
Osaka had previously withdrawn from the French Open earlier in 2021 after she was fined by the organisers for failing to fulfill her medial duties. She’s been abysmal across the year with her failing to showcase her mettle at events.
