A psychology student who began playing cricket at the age of 10, age 24 cricketer Rawal’s path to the national team has been nothing short of inspiring. Her breakthrough performance came in the 2021 Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy, where she amassed 247 runs in seven matches at an impressive average of 49.40 and a strike rate of 78.41. Among her standout moments was an unbeaten 161 off 155 balls, embellished with 19 fours and five sixes, while representing Delhi against Assam at the Maharana Pratap College ground in Dehradun.
Earlier this year, she also led Delhi to the Under-23 T20 Trophy final, finishing as the second-highest run-scorer for her team with 182 runs across nine matches, averaging 26 with a strike rate of 85.94. Rawal continued her stellar form in the latest edition of the Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy, emerging as the second-highest run-scorer with 411 runs from eight matches at a remarkable average of 68.50 and a strike rate of 91.94. Her performances included two centuries, with a top score of 141. She also showcased her talent in the Women’s Delhi Premier League, representing East Delhi Riders, scoring 93 in 2 matches and also lead Delhi to the final of the U23 T20 Trophy in 2024 as captain.
The 2022-23 season saw her amass 552 runs in 14 matches, including five half-centuries and her form improved further the following year, scoring 411 runs in 7 innings, with two centuries and two fifties, maintaining an average of 68.50 and throughout her List-A career, Rawal has accumulated 1368 runs, maintaining an average of 54.72 with a steadily improving strike rate of 75.58.
Following the Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE, Rawal was among six debutants who received their ODI caps, alongside Minnu Mani, Tejal Hasabnis, Titas Sadhu, Saima Thakor, and Priya Mishra.
