Gervonta Davis vs Rolando Romero Post-match Reaction and Future of Davis
The focus now shifts to Davis’ future. The fight with Romero was originally slated for December, but Romero backed out due to sexual assault claims, and Davis was forced to fight Isaac Cruz instead. Now that he has defeated his opponent, the WBA “regular” lightweight champion has the opportunity to engage in several important contests.
Davis’ future could include a bout with Ryan Garcia or the winner of the forthcoming undisputed lightweight title battle between George Kambosos Jr. and Devin Haney. Davis recognised the major brawls, but he refused to name any of the participants.
