One of the front-runners to lead Germany going forward is Jurgen Klopp. The most likely candidates to replace Hansi Flick, who was fired, have been compiled by Betfair.

After the surprise weekend beating by Japan, Flick was fired. Rudi Voller, who has been appointed as interim coach with the team scheduled to play France this week, acknowledged that the loss was “an embarrassment.”
The World Cup last year was a tremendous disappointment for Flick, who managed to win just 12 of the 25 games he managed in. Now, Julian Nagelsmann, a past target for Chelsea and Spurs, is the early favourite to succeed Flick permanently.
At barely 36 years old, Nagelsmann may be seeking to return to the daily grind as he appears to have his pick of Europe’s elite clubs. However, he is currently the favourite at 5/4, followed by Oliver Glasner (4/1) and temp Voller (6/1).
Then there’s Klopp (10/1), who seems to have changed Liverpool’s fortunes in recent weeks but cut a disappointed figure throughout the majority of last season and in the months leading up to the new campaign. He stated to Sky Germany in summer:
The job of national coach is and would be a great honour – there’s no question about that. The problem that stands in the way of the whole thing is my loyalty.
He further continued:
“I can’t just leave Liverpool now and say I’ll take over Germany for a short time.”
He said that the request isn’t even there, therefore that approach is ineffective. If he has to do it at some point, he needs to be available, which he is was not, at that time.
If the German FA opts for a temporary solution in front of the national European championships next summer, that might rule him out. Former Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl (16/1), Zinedine Zidane (25/1) and Miroslav Klose (33/1) are a few other candidates in the running.
