Her full name was Pullela Gayatri Gopichand. She was born on March 4, 2003, in Hyderabad, Telangana. Her father’s name is Pullela Gopichand, and her mother’s name is PVV Lakshmi. Both of her parents of renowned former badminton players. She also has a brother named Sai Vishnu Pullela, who is also a badminton player.

Gayatri Gopichand did her schooling at Glendale Academy, Hyderabad. Her height is 1.55 m or 5 feet 1 inch, and her weight is 56 kg or 123 lbs. She is currently 20 years old.

Her career

Gayatri Gopichand has a distinguished record in both domestic and international tournaments and has played a key role in helping India’s women’s team win the gold medal at the 2019 South Asian Games and also took home a silver in the women’s singles category.

Following that, at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, she won a silver medal in the mixed team competition and a bronze in the women’s doubles division. She has made history in Indian badminton by becoming the first female doubles specialist to reach the semi-finals of the All England Open.
