Gautam Gambhir Crosses Yamuna On A Boat To Get Island In Delhi COVID Vaccinations

The Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from East Delhi, Gautam Gambhir reached Yamuna Khadar on a boat as a part of his vaccination drive in Delhi

There are currently two kinds of governance models being carried out in Delhi. Where the incumbent government in the capital is least interested in executing any kind of work to curb the mayhem caused by Covid, the central government has been working assiduously to get Delhiโ€™s house in order.

Despite being left in a shambles by the AAP government, the city has time and again been rescued by the BJP lead government under the leadership of Narendra Modi. One of the worst hit cities in India across the course of the last year, Delhi has persistently seen its sitting government abandon it and indulging in mere shenanigans and advertisements.

Gautam Gambhir Vaccination Drive

Spearheading the BJPโ€™s fight against Coronavirus in the city is Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from East Delhi, Gautam Gambhir. The old Indian cricketer has been provided unstinted support on the ground, be it from setting up of Covid isolation centres to making medicines like Fabiflu and oxygen concentrators available for free for the cityโ€™s public.

And despite being curbed by the AAP government, Gambhir has continued working unnerving for the city. The same was on show during his most recent endeavour today where he along with his team embarked on a boat across the Yamuna.

Gautam Gambhir Reaches Island In Yamuna With Covid Vaccines On A Boat

Gambhir strived to reach Yamuna Khadar, an island in the middle of the Yamuna river. With travelling on boat being the only method to reach the area, Gambhir took it upon himself to make sure he personally transported Covid vaccines to the 300 citizens of the area.

Taking to Twitter to share a video of him in a boat, Gambhir took a jibe at CM Arvind Kejriwal. Gambhir went onto write, that he was reaching places where Arvind Kejriwalโ€™s advertisements had failed to.

The swipe was a hit at Kejriwalโ€™s advertisement based model of governance. Despite doing absolutely nothing to spur growth in the capital, the CM has claimed to have transformed the capital into Singapore by embarking on a Rs.150 crore advertisement spending spree in the first three months of 2021 as revealed by a RTI.
