Vikrant Massey and Sara Ali Khan thriller Gaslight will directly premiere on OTT, know the release date of the movie

After the film Atrangi Re, Sara Ali Khan’s other film gets a direct stream release. Gaslight is directed by Pavan Kirpalani and then co-produced by Ramesh Tauran and Akshai Puri. The thriller flick Gaslight unites Sara Ali Khan with Vikrant Massey for the very first time, and the movie features Chitrangda Singh in the lead role.

Sara Ali Khan said that Gaslight will debut on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar on the 31st of March 2023.
Talking about the same, a source told the media that the plot of the psychological thriller Gaslight is so much unique and might not appeal to theatergoers. The decision of releasing it digitally has been made by producers because they believe that kind of movie has historically performed better on the OTT platform than in the traditional theatres.
They believe that making it digital on OTT will protect their financial interests. Previously, when Vikrant talked to the OTTplay in an interview, he couldn’t say enough good things about Sara Ali as they both worked together for the first time.
He said, “It was really fantastic working with Sara Ali Khan and Chitrangda. For the very first time, Pavan Kirpalaani, who is a film director, and I worked together. Working with Ramesh Taurani and Akshay Puri was my first experience. I had a ball, especially with Sara Ali Kahn, because she’s such an amazing person and most of my work was with her. I had a really good time working with her and am really looking forward to the film. It’s a big thriller again.”
Sara Ali’s last movies, Coolie No. 1 and Atrangi Re, went just straight to Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar instead of a big screen. Her forthcoming movie, Ae Watan Mere Watan, is also all set to be scheduled for the Prime Video release.
On other hand, Vikrant also had a series of OTT releases, including Haseen Dillruba on Netflix, 14 Phere, Forensic, and Love Hostel on the OTT ZEE5.
