Marco Alexandre Saraiva da Silva is the current head coach of EFL Championship team Fulham. He is a former Portuguese footballer who played as a right back. Silva was born in Lisbon, Portugal, on July 12, 1977.

Silva’s contract earned him £3million per year during his time at Everton. That works out as approximately £58,000 per week or £250,000 per month. The 44 year old was signed by Fulham in 2021 on a three year contract after being fired by Everton in 2019 and with 18 months still left on his contract, he was in for a 4.5 million pound compensation from the club.

Silva was named director of football at Estoril on June 10, 2011, shortly after retiring. With the Cascais squad ranked ninth in the second tier, he succeeded Vincius Eutrópio as manager early in the season. His first game in command ended in a 1–3 defeat against Penafiel, but after only three losses in 24 games, he guided the club back to the top division as champions after a seven-year absence.

On May 21, 2014, Silva signed a four-year contract with Sporting to replace Leonardo Jardim. He led the squad to third place in the championship and also won the Taça de Portugal by defeating S.C. Later, Silva managed Hull City, Watford, and Everton before becoming the manager at Fulham in July 2021. He was named Manager of the Month for August after leading them to 13 points out of a possible 15 in the first five games of the season. In April, Silva successfully guided Fulham back to the Premier League.
