Two names from the country’s sporting fraternity managed to find their place in Forbes 30 Under 30 India 2022 list
Every year, Forbes releases a list of 30 Indians under the age of 30, ones who it considers to have made pathbreaking progress in their fields and attained consummate success.

The list for 2022 has been released with it also finding two people from the sporting arena in it. Winner of the Odisha Open 2022 which was held in January earlier this year, Lakshya Sen and women’s hockey player Vandana Katariya both have featured in the notable list of names.
“At 20, Sen is leading the charge for Indian men’s badminton on the world stage. In 2021, he became the youngest Indian to qualify for BWF World Tour Finals, a sparring ground for the top eight shuttlers for the year. He followed it up with a bronze at the prestigious BWF World Championships, emulating mentor Prakash Padukone,” Forbes said as it talked of 20 year old Lakshya.
Vandana meanwhile was an integral part of India’s journey at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 where the country ended in fourth place.
“The women’s hockey team finished fourth at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and it was a victory in defeat for the team which had finished last at the 2016 Rio Games. Katariya, the forward, was a star performer who scored a hat-trick against South Africa,” Forbes said whilst describing the player.
