2022 Women’s FIH Hockey World Cup is scheduled to begin from 1st July 2022, we take a look at the format, schedule, venue, fixtures and teams of the tournament and live streaming in India and other countries
The International Hockey Federation will host the 15th Women’s FIH Hockey World Cup in 2022, which will serve as the quadrennial global championship for women’s national field hockey teams. From July 1 to July 17, 2022, it will take place in Terrassa, Spain, and Amstelveen, the Netherlands.

Participating Teams, Countries And Format
The tournament will include 16 teams, just like in 2018. The five continental champions will be given an automatic entry along with the hosts, Spain, and the Netherlands. The number of spots made available through continental championships, including the World Cup hosts, after the 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed was increased from six to sixteen. The following sixteen teams will compete in this tournament, as indicated by the final pre-tournament standings.

2022 Women’s FIH Hockey World Cup Format, Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, And Fixtures
There are four teams in each of the four pools and each team will play other teams in the pool once. After the completion of all matches, top team in the group will progress directly to the quarterfinal. Meanwhile, second and third placed teams from each group will qualify for the round of 16.
Indian Women’s hockey team will begin their campaign in FIH Women’s World Cup with a match against England on 3rd July and later, they will play China on 5th July. In their last match of the pool stage, they will play New Zealand on 7th July.
