The promotions for FIFA 23 Ultimate Team never stop! With the Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League back in the game, fans will now start obtaining Road to the Final cards.
Ever since EA acquired the rights to the European competitions in 2018, “Road to the Final” has been a staple promotion. Dynamic cards that can upgrade based on how well their respected team performs in the competition are the focus of the promotion.
Sadio Mane of Liverpool received a FIFA 22 card with a rating of 96, Gareth Bale of Real Madrid received a card with a rating of 95, and Jamie Vardy of Leicester City received a card with a rating of 93.
When will it be released?
Following the completion of Future Stars, the road to the final will begin in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 6 p.m. GMT.
EA themselves dropped a loading page in-game that shows it will start on this day, therefore it is now 100% ensured.
The entire promo should flow somewhat like this:
- Friday 17th February 2023 – Team 1 Released
- Sunday 19th February 2023 – Team 1 Mini-Release
- Friday 24th February 2023 – Team 2 Released
- Sunday 27th February 2023 – Team 2 Mini-Release
At least two 14-player teams, target cards, and Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) should be available for players to fulfil as part of the promotion.
How do the Road to the Final (RTTF) upgrades function?
Although EA is quite likely to stick with the same idea, this is based on the upgrade system in FIFA 22. The official EA website served as the source for this.
The Road to the Final items can receive up to five more dynamic enhancements after their initial boost at the beginning of the campaign:
- First knockout game win after campaign launch
- Qualifying for the Quarter Finals
- Qualifying for the Semi Finals
- Qualifying for the Final
- Winning the tournament
Will the Road to the Final (RTTF) promo feature two teams?
While this is still unknown, as per assumption is that this promotional event will involve two teams.
This is expected because FIFA 21 and FIFA 22 both had two teams, so can assume that EA will do the same.

There hasn’t been any indication from leaks as of yet as to who will appear in the RTTF squads in FIFA 23, but people can be sure that there will be a star-studded lineup.
