FIFA is one of the most popular football video games across the world. Moreover, they always try to add something new and make something different in their new editions. Earlier, FIFA added Icon cards for players who are legends of the game and are now retired. The cards included players like Pele, Johan Cryuff, Pirlo, and many others.
FIFA 22 Release Date
Although there is no official announcement regarding the release date of this new edition of FIFA, rumors suggest that it might arrive in September. So, let’s have a look at who are the players we might see in the new Icon cards.
FIFA 22 Leaks And Ratings: List of All the Players Who Will Be Added As Icon
Recently, a new update rolled out in the game and 9 new players were added to the list of Icon players. Moreover, one of the FIFA Ultimate Team leaker KingLangpard revealed the news via his Twitter.

The following icons have been added to FIFA online 4:

-Robin Van Persie
-Lucio
-Park Ji Sung
-Jaap Stam
-Cha Bum-kun
-Diego Forlan
-Wesley Sneidjer

Earlier, in FIFA 21 more than 100 players Icon cards were added including club legends. Furthermore, in this update, Manchester United players Robin Van Persie and Park Ji Sung are added. Also, Real Madrid former captain and legendary goalkeeper Ike Casillas has also made it into the list.
FIFA 22 Icons
According to the rumors, former Liverpool and Real Madrid player Xabi Alonso will also be included in the list but in FIFA 22. Uruguayan forward Diego Forlan received an Icon card too.
Also, some of the legendary players with icon cards in FIFA 21 will also be added to the FIFA 22 with a few changes in ratings. Players can also expect the former Chelsea captain John Terry with an Icon card.
Moreover, there is no update till now regarding the release date and FIFA is still to reveal the player rating cards. Usually, FIFA lovers knew about the upcoming cards and player’s ratings in the month of July. But, due to the pandemic, it is delayed and is expected to release once the Euro ends.
