Barca has signed Torres on a 5-year contract which will see him play for the club till June 30, 2027. The deal is sealed and his buyout clause has been fixed at a whopping 1 billion Euros. The Spaniard is moving from Manchester City and has been locked in for a reported fee of 55 million Euros ($62.25 million), an amount which is double of what the Premier League defending champs spent on the youngster 16 months ago.
He made an annual salary of 2,400,000 pounds at the Premier League club as an AM RW. While his salary at Barcelona isn’t known yet, its likely to be in the same region with Valencia set to take home 10% of the fees Barcelona paid to City.
Due to revenue losses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Barcelona have their salary budget set at $113 million by La Liga for the 2021-22 season.
